Ok, could somebody please explain osmosis to me and diffusion?

Ok, what's the difference between osmosis and diffusion, first of all. We keep bringing it up in science cl and it's just confusing to me. So, what is both and what do they do in a plant and how are they different? Thanks, best answer 10 points.
