If glacier melt is caused by man can someone explain what happened to the glaciers that carved the Great Lakes?

It's the evils of man kind that produced those lakes. I am sooooooo tired of Americans getting blamed for global warming. What are these so called scientific community going to say when the earth starts to cool again?
