Independence Day (my poem). What do you think?

It seems content-lax. There are a lot of words, but no particularly striking images, nor any clever ideas; through there is a lot of filler. It seems more musical than poetic -- and I'm talking about modern music. You could probably abridge this to a single Haiku.
