Motocross helmet for street use?

so i ride a ninja 250r i just started about 2 months ago. im 6'2" and a bit on the heavy side so i have a big head and most XXL large helmet fit me very snug, im currently using a scorpion EX400 but since its snug it get pretty hot in there and its kinda uncomfortable since i where gles as well and all other helmets ive tried fit me like this as well, except for motocross helmet. they are longer so my head has more rooms to breath and they are more fresh. the one i was looking at is DOT approved but is the wind drag as bad as people make it seem? i ride mostly in the street about 10 miles round trip from home to work. do you guys think this is a good idea?
