Which works better for fungal infection?

My daughter has jock itch. I suppose its from wearing pads while she is on her period. The rash between her ocks is very cherry red and itches. Of course she is misreable. I told her to go to Walmart and purchase OTC Miconazole, or Lotrisone cream Equate generic brand. It cost about $3 for a small tube. Which works the best on jock itch?
